WHO WE SERVE

Providing Comprehensive Legal Representation of Corporations, Individuals, Families & Medical Professionals/Facilities

As a general practice firm, Sholes & Miller PLLC represents an array of clients with a host of diverse legal needs. While we started as a firm focused on representation of Healthcare and Medical Professionals, Hospitals and Nursing Homes, over the years the scope of our practice has expanded to include legal counsel for individuals, families and businesses in Litigation, Personal Injury, Labor, Employment, Construction and Prevailing Wage Law, Title IX/Sexual Harassment, and Wills, Trusts & Estates. Many of our individual clients – whether for real estate transactions, estate planning, business management or other general needs – are physicians and other health professionals who liked our work in an initial litigation or professional disciplinary matter and have asked us to remain their attorneys for other purposes. Our general practice clients have also included other lawyers.

Sholes & Miller does not represent plaintiffs in lawsuits against physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, or other health care providers.

HELPING SMALL TO MEDIUM-SIZED BUSINESSES WITH THEIR DAY-TO-DAY LEGAL NEEDS

Business owners and managers face a myriad of complex challenges every day. Many routine business and management decisions, including personnel management, contracts, and insurance agreements have potentially significant legal consequences. It is far less costly to avoid legal mistakes and complications than to have to deal with them after something has gone wrong. The attorneys at Sholes & Miller PLLC work personally with each client to create a healthy workplace environment and keep legal matters running smoothly. From assistance with staff hiring and training to review and preparation of contracts/leases/purchase agreements to counsel on regulatory requirements and representation in business disputes and litigation, our team helps organizations navigate the daily legal intricacies involved in running a business.

PROVIDING THE COUNSEL INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES HAVE COME TO KNOW AND TRUST

Our firm is a helping hand through which individuals and families can find some comfort and reassurance during their time of need.

We assist Personal Injury clients in recovering the damages they deserve for the injuries they have sustained – medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering. From initial negotiation with insurance companies through litigation and trial, we are dedicated to fighting for the rights of each client to obtain full compensation. Sholes & Miller does not represent plaintiffs in lawsuits against physicians, hospitals, nursing homes or other health care providers.

The firm’s diligent representation also extends to Trust and Estate planning. The experienced attorneys at Sholes & Miller PLLC assist clients during every step of the planning and administration process – wills, trusts, guardianships, powers of attorney, health care proxies, living wills, probate, and litigation when necessary.

THE LAW FIRM OF CHOICE FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS AND FACILITIES

The firm’s roots are firmly planted in representation of clients in the healthcare industry. We have assisted Hospitals/Medical Facilities, Medical Professionals, and Nursing Homes with all of their legal needs, including malpractice and disciplinary proceeding defense, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day operations. Our firm’s managing attorney and founding partner, Robert Irving Miller, has spent his entire career working with healthcare professionals. As a result of our extensive experience in this area, we know what these facilities and professionals are going through and speak their language.
